The Minister responsible for transport infrastructure, Sorin Grindeanu, announced that by the end of the year, a 15-kilometer section of the Sibiu-Piteşti highway and 49.52 kilometers of the Craiova-Piteşti express road would be opened to traffic. These sections were completed ahead of the deadline set in the contract. The minister emphasized that the opening of the 15-kilometer highway section and the 49.52-kilometer express road section to traffic is expected by the end of this year, exceeding the 2025 deadline anticipated in the contract. Construction is progressing at a steady pace, which is characteristic of other major infrastructure development projects as well.

According to the plans, the first 16-kilometer highway section leading towards Curtea de Argeş will be handed over approximately a year earlier, at the beginning of December, while the remaining section is expected to be completed in the spring. Grindeanu also mentioned that he inspected section 4, which connects with the A1 highway. The minister also reported that the first 20 kilometers of the Albota detour are expected to be opened to traffic within a month, sometime between November 15-20. The connecting roads between Albota and the A1 highway are to be completed by the end of the year.
