The new road section between Páty and the M1 highway, which is 1.4 kilometers long, has been inaugurated. Thanks to the second section of the new connecting road, the center and industrial zone of Páty will become more easily accessible. This, along with the first section opened last December, significantly reduces the load on the town center's hazardous and narrow roads.
The ceremonial opening was attended by Bálint Nagy, State Secretary for Transport at the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, Tamás Menczer, communications director and parliamentary representative of Fidesz-KDNP, and László Székely, Mayor of Páty. The current development included the construction of a 1.4-kilometer-long, 2x1 lane road section, which was necessary from transportation, traffic safety, residential, and economic perspectives.
During the investment, two new roundabouts were also established, and the wearing course of Rákóczi Street was replaced over an additional 1.4 kilometers. As part of the project, 775 meters of noise barrier were built, along with dynamic motion-sensing street lighting, telecommunications, and low- and medium-voltage electrical lines, water supply, sewage disposal, hydrocarbon pipelines, and a rainwater drainage system. Both sections were constructed by Mészáros and Mészáros Zrt.
In the first phase, the 2x1 lane connecting road was built with lanes of 3.5 meters in width, a pavement width of 7.5 meters, and a crown width of 11 meters, while between the two roundabouts it was built with lane widths of 3.25 meters and a crown width of 9.5 meters, totaling 900 meters. In the first phase, two new roundabouts were built, the Füzes-patak bridge was renovated, and the stream bed was organized; the road numbered 81106 was rebuilt over 160 meters, and connections were established to the Sasfészek rest area junction as well as to the existing dirt road network. The realization of the two sections has created a long-awaited highway connection in the Pest County settlement, relieving Páty and Biatorbágy of transit traffic. In total, 2.3 kilometers of new road were built, easing accessibility to these settlements.
The development was realized from domestic resources under the investment of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation and executed by Mészáros and Mészáros Zrt., amounting to a net cost of approximately 4.4 billion forints. The net cost of executing the recently completed second phase was approximately two billion forints.
